THE PROCESS

Evoking the Appraisal Clause

If the Carrier and Policyholder do not agree on the amount of loss, hire us to represent your financial interests. We offer unbiased, professional opinions on damage and property value.
Identify and Notify Appraisers

If there is a disagreement regarding the claim’s offer, each party must hire an independent and qualified appraiser. The identity of the appointed appraiser must be shared with the other party within 20 days of receiving the written demand.

Appraisers Assess Independently

Determines property value or damage extent for insurance purposes, calculating repair or replacement costs to ensure a fair settlement. They provide an unbiased opinion on property values, reviewing policy terms to align with coverage in both commercial and residential settings.

They will escalate the dispute to an Umpire. The appraisers have 15 days to mutually agree on an umpire. The chosen will review the differences presented by the appraisers and issue an itemized decision. Both Appraisers and the Umpire must agree for the decision to be Final.
